Your podcast.
Animated.
Upload an episode you've already recorded. We turn it into a fully animated video show: your hosts as animated characters on a real studio set, your real voices, and a wall TV that shows what you're talking about. No camera, no video editor, no animator.
Your name becomes your show's home: yourshow.afterdark.fm
Why video
Audio-only shows are invisible where people look.
YouTube is now one of the biggest podcast apps in the world, and Spotify puts video front and center. A show without video misses the feed, the recommendations and the clips. Filming a real video podcast means cameras, lights, a set and hours of editing. Or you can skip all of that.
What you have
An audio file and a lot of great conversation.
- A static cover image on YouTube
- Nothing for Shorts, Reels or TikTok
- No reason to watch, so people leave
What you get
A full animated video show, ready to post.
- Animated hosts lip-synced to your real voices
- A studio set, camera cuts and a wall TV with your visuals
- A home for it at yourshow.afterdark.fm
See it in action
One episode, three Pro studios.
The same 50-second recording, made three ways: different Pro hosts, rooms, themes and overlays, all from the Studio's editor. Turn the sound on.
How it works
From audio file to animated show in four steps.
You stay in charge of every step. Nothing is produced until you approve the script.
Upload your episode
Drop in the finished audio. Add a transcript if you have one (Riverside, Descript, Zoom and YouTube exports all work) and any pictures you want on the TV.
About 2 minutesCast your hosts
We find every speaker. Pick an animated character for each one, from people to elves to a friendly ghost, and give them their colors.
About 1 minuteSet the stage
Choose your studio: a late-night couch, a cozy tavern, a haunted manor and more. Then schedule what the wall TV shows at each moment: your logo, a headline, a product shot.
About 5 minutesApprove and produce
Read the script, fix any line, approve it. We direct the cameras, sync the mouths to your voices and render the video for YouTube, Spotify and your page.
Rendered for youWhat to upload
Bring what you already have.
Only the audio is required. Everything else makes the show sharper, faster.
Your episode audio Required
The final, edited episode, exactly as listeners hear it. This is the soundtrack; your real voices stay your real voices.
MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, or a video file (MP4, MOV). Up to 2 GB.A transcript with speaker names Recommended
Skips transcription and gets every line on the right host. Export it from Riverside, Descript, Zoom, Otter or YouTube Studio's captions. No transcript? We'll make one.
SRT, VTT, TXT ("Name: what they said"), Markdown or JSON.Separate speaker tracks Optional
Recorded each person on their own track (Riverside, Zencastr, SquadCast)? Upload them too and label who's who: the mouths sync tighter and nobody gets mixed up.
One audio file per speaker, up to 6.Pictures for the wall TV Optional
Your logo, guest photos, product shots, screenshots, charts. Schedule each one to a moment in the episode and it appears on the studio TV right when you mention it.
PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, up to 30 per episode.Show notes or an outline Optional
Your episode description, chapters or links. We use them to suggest TV moments and chapter titles, and to write your video description.
TXT or Markdown.Already have a script? Pro
No recording at all? Upload the script, pick an AI voice for each character, and the Producer voices, animates and renders the whole episode.
TXT or Markdown, one "Name: line" per paragraph. The studio
A full TV studio, without the studio.
Hosts that actually talk
Mouths follow every word, and hosts glance at each other, nod, laugh and point at the screen. It reads like a real conversation because it is one.
A director in the booth
Wide shots, two-shots and close-ups cut on the beat of the conversation, the way a TV control room would.
The wall TV
A screen behind your hosts shows your logo, headlines and pictures at the exact second you choose. It's the visual hook audio never had.
Ten-plus studio sets
Late-night couch, tavern, arcane library, night camp, haunted manor, graveyard, rail yard and more, all built for the camera.
Your own show page
Every show gets a home at yourname.afterdark.fm with your episodes and an always-on live channel, inside the After Dark network.
A real timeline editor
Intro, segments and outro on a timeline under your live preview. Drop in titles, lower thirds, stickers and a Subscribe button, pick a theme, and scrub through it with your audio.
Arrange your set
Drag your hosts anywhere on the couch, size them, turn them around, and move their microphones, from boom arm to floor stand.
Pro cast & Pro studios Pro
Film-quality hosts with real mouth shapes, blinks and natural motion, in rooms that look like a movie set: a skyline penthouse, a neon loft, a sunset beach house.
The AI Producer Pro
Give it a topic, a feed or a script. It writes the episode, voices every character and renders it, the same engine that runs After Dark's 24/7 shows.

Questions
Good questions.
Do I need a camera or any video skills?
No. If you can export an audio file, you can make an animated video show. The Studio is point and click, and the preview shows your show live as you build it.
Is it still my voice?
Yes. An uploaded episode keeps your real audio from start to finish; the characters lip-sync to it. AI voices are only used when you ask the Pro Producer to voice a script for you.
Who owns the videos?
You do. Post them on YouTube, Spotify, TikTok or anywhere else, monetize them, keep them forever.
What if the transcript gets something wrong?
You read and edit every line before anything is produced. Fix a word, move a line to the right host, then approve. Nothing renders without your approval.
My show is just me. Does that work?
Absolutely. Solo shows get a quiet studio sidekick in the second seat who reacts while you talk, or you can bring in a guest character for the segments that have one.
How long does a video take?
Setting up takes a few minutes. Rendering runs on our machines after you approve, and during early access episodes are produced in batches, so give it up to a day or two.
What happens after early access?
You'll get plenty of notice before any plan costs money, and the Free plan stays free. Your username and your page are yours to keep.
